Description
This utility updates the Sharp BD-HP20 firmware to version HU8060200.
All the downloaded files came with the instructions in it. Please read the firmware update instructions before updating.
Additional Notes - Update from CD/DVD
I ‘ve got an info from one of BD-HP20 user, he found this firmware update from Sharp.net.au, which we could do the whole updating process using the alternate option : burned CD/DVD. Thanks to Ross for this info.
I can’t confirm this firmware update is compatible with your region yet, if you’re outside Australia, as this update was issued from the Sharp Australia website, but it worth a shot anyway.
The version is 1.10 ( the website claimed it’s a 1.12 version - named a bit different from the whole HU firmware series) and released at May 14, 2008.
So be my guess, help other BD-HP20 users. If you’re outside Australia and it works for you, shout it out here.

I recently got a Sharpe Aquos –blu ray player when I went to watch a blu ray disc a message came up saying I needed to update I found and update HU8100900.RVP downloaded it and onto a usb stick and went to put it on the player it got up to 95% and stop
After an hour or 2 I tuned off the player now I need help it will not play anything what can i do
Can anyone tell me what I need to do to put it right?

Hey, we have updated our dvd to the most current, we just bought the new james bond. It will not play as it is looking for an new update!??? Anybody know of a new update that is not on the website?????

I have the same problem as Thomas on March 30th. The new James Bond and Australia movies are not played at all. Currently, my blue ray’s version is HU8060200. Please let me know how to fix it.
